Clothes moths are stubborn little fucks. They will destroy your sweaters and your sanity. I have spent an ungodly number of hours steaming my clothes, steaming the carpet, freezing my sweaters, putting my sweaters in the oven (on LOW HEAT)... nothing really made a dent. Until: trichogramma moths. They are minute wasps that lay their eggs in moth eggs, arresting the moth egg development. Pretty metal.
Full disclosure, I don't know that they are effective bc the wasps are so small you can't see them doing their thing. Calm down, you can see them, it's not an emperor's new clothes (moths) situation--they're just so tiny you don't see them flying around. But I have noticed a marked decrease in moth activity since starting to use them. And apparently textile conservators are big fans! They're cheap so worth a try.
